| Description | Field -Marshall Viscount Alanbrooke Record Of Donors for John Gould's Monograph of The Trochilidae or Family Of Humming Birds with supplement by R.Bowdler 5 Volumes which were presented to Benita Lady Alanbrooke on 26/07/1963 (originally to be presented to Lord Alanbrooke for his 80th birthday, but sadly he passed away). This book records facsimiles of the signatures of the donors contributing to the gift. Contains the original letter by Benita Lady Alanbrooke which is printed on the leading pages of the book, and original letters by Norman c. Pearson who organised the presentation. Hardback published by Norman C. Pearson and Elizabeth Kirkman. 27 printed one sided pages, measures 34cm x 24cm. Each printed 2 pages contains typed names on one page and the corresponding printed signature on the other page. Many military names and famous names (Sir Winston Churchill and General Dwight D. Eisenhower to name two). Slight wear/dent to the lower right hand cover corner. This is the publishers original copy, has some slight fading to the page margins. Pre-owned. As seen in the images. |
